ABOUT ME
Sophia Sarwar is currently a third year law student at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. She is a Member of Loyola’s Giles Sutherland Rich Intellectual Property Moot Court Team and a Research Assistant for Loyola’s primary patent law professor, Professor John. T. McDermott. Sophia has also prepared and filed taxes for the low-income, elderly, disabled, and other individuals, as pro bono work with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Sophia will graduate in May of 2009 and intends to practice in all areas of Intellectual Property law, including patent prosecution and patent litigation. She previously held a legal clerk position with a patent law firm in Orange County, Jafari Law Group, P.C.
Sophia Sarwar previously served as an Associate in the Document Control and Regulatory Affairs Department of Irvine Scientific, a leader in cell culture media in the life sciences industry. She was part of a team that submitted product packages to the Food and Drug Administration for approval. In that capacity, Sophia also inspected cell culture product lots for quality assurance and control.
